Working a desk job throughout my freshman, sophomore, and junior years of college opened my eyes: I knew I didn’t want to spend my life stuck behind a desk. I was tired of trading my time for a measly $14.50 an hour. I wanted to trade my time for lasting memories instead.

The only problem? Ditching the 9-5 life doesn’t exactly come with a paycheck, and bills don’t pay themselves. That’s when I became obsessed with the idea of passive income. Instead of working for money, I wanted to make money work for me.
